The City once again is showing its commitment to accessibility, accountability, and response to citizen needs by initiating 3-1-1 Online.
The City of Fort St. John is the first municipality in British Columbia to
launch 3-1-1.
3-1-1 provides a hub for managing citizen requests. One of the advantages of using 3-1-1 is that citizens only have to remember one number to access all information about City services.
Secondly, 3-1-1 is more than a phone number, 3-1-1 uses state-of-the-art technology to co-ordinate and electronically follow through on citiczen requests received by the City.
3-1-1 allows for all calls to be handled in the same manner - no matter who answers the telephone.
The City of Fort St. John is also working on 3-1-1 Online. The online features will allow residents to report photholes, sidewalk conditions, waste collection problems, graffiti, snow angel program and more.
