The Bylaw Technician's mission is to encourage pets, their owners, and neighbours to live in safety and harmony. The bylaws that govern this department are:

Dog, Animal Control and Licensing Bylaw No. 1437, 1998 (PDF)

Noise Bylaw No 905, 1981 (PDF)

Municipal Ticket Information System Bylaw No. 1321, 1998 (PDF)

 

City of Fort St. John Animal Control is not part of the North Peace SPCA but works very closely with them to ensure the animals are healthy, happy and safe until they can be returned home to their families or placed in a new home. If a wild animal such as a bear, moose, deer or coyote comes into city limits please call the Conservation office at (250) 787-3225 or after hours call 1-800-663-9453. DO NOT CALL ANIMAL CONTROL. We cannot handle wild animals.
