What is a Fire Safety House?
The Fire Safety House is a scaled down trailer able version of
a two story house containing an upstairs and downstairs bedroom.
The Fire Safety house is equipped with a smoke generator, strobe
lights and working smoke detectors to simulate realistic fire situations.
Our Mission
The Fort St. John Fire Department envisions a program delivered
to grade 3 students throughout our community.
The fire safety house would be utilized as a training aid in
conjunction with classroom education in preparing and initiating
Fire Safety plans and Exit Drills In The Home (E.D.I.T.H.)
Teaching children of our community to be prepared in case of a
fire in their homes.
What can you do to help?
To make the Fire Safety House a reality approximately $15,113.59
in goods, services and financial support will be needed.
If you think you can help the Fort St. John Fire Department we
would be excited to talk to you regarding your contribution.
What will we do for you?
Donations up to and including $500.00 will have their names added
to our sponsors recognition board.
$501.00 to $2,000.00 = Dedicated 12” x 12” Name Board
$2,001.00 and over are negotiable.
