Community Clean Up!

There will be no tipping fees at the landfill from May 13 - 16, 2008. The City will be running Pitch In Week at the same time, with one organized community clean up day set for the 15th.

Public Works will also begin a Clean Sweep Campaign during Pitch In Week (from May 13-16) where residents can do their home/yard clean up dispose of such  items as wood, metal, white ware, sofas, chairs, etc.  Two tandem trucks and two loaders will be working for four days in all  residential back lanes.  IMPORTANT:  There isn't a set schedule for pickup, so residents are asked to prepare their garbage and have it in the back lane by the 12th.  This Clean Sweep is NOT for the following:  household garbage, compostable materials or derelict vehicles.
