Spirit of BC Week is a province-wide initiative that promotes community innovation, pride and excellence, and involves British Columbians in the opportunities arising from the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
2008’s Spirit of BC Week is scheduled for February 8-16, 2008.
The City of Fort St. John, in partnership with many other groups in the community, will be joining all other communities in the province in celebrating this week, specifically by sharing our successes in the area of business, literacy, sport, volunteerism, and the arts.
The North Peace Spirit of BC Committee has partnered with the City of Fort St. John and key Fort St John partners to create an innovative celebration week in our community. Details will be announced in the early new year, but to date, the following exciting celebrations are set for Spirit of BC Week:

Atom House Hockey Tournament - North Peace Arena

2pm - Province Wide Flag Raising Ceremony
at the North Peace Arena lobby

Chocolate Festival - North Peace Cultural Centre
Tickets now on sale at the box office North Peace Cultural Centre $10 for adults and children free when accompanied by an adult.
Register to enter by Feb. 6 chocolate cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, squares, candies and more. Two of each entry are required early on the day of the event. One is for the public auction and one is for tasting during the event. Contact: Char at Peace Gallery North 787-0993
